I was just wondering does an MPH help you gain admission to med school?

I want to go to an Allopathic med school, but also want to attain a MPH. Will attaining an MPH help me gain admission to med school? Also, can you complete a MPH in one year?

maybe. you still have to do pretty well in your undergrad work.

Also, can you complete a MPH in one year? [/B]

maybe....though highly doubtful, primarily because besides all the course work requirement, all accredited schools of public health required a structured practicum experience. in my program it's 280 hours and a thesis. the shortest time interval i've seen anyone do it is 15 months. besides...why rush it? tuition is generally on a per credit basis, so doing it in one year, versus doing it in a little longer, and enjoyihng the experience more...
