MSPE Upload/Download prior to Nov 1st??

A friend of mine told me that his school uploaded the MSPE on Thursday afternoon and most of the programs he applied to had it downloaded by Friday morning.

Is this common? I was under the impression that Nov. 1st was the standard date for release of the MSPE.

Mine was uploaded on the morning of 10/27 and downloaded by most programs that afternoon. But it was listed as "downloaded but not viewable until 11/1." The system would be overloaded if all the uploads/downloads happened today, so it's not uncommon for it to be done a few days early and then become 'unlocked' to be read on the 1st.
