Yup they met, I received a waitlist spot and guaranteed admission for class of 2016! I have an acceptance for this year at Rocky Vista but I'm gonna wait the year and attend MSU😍

And go Lions! Make sure to check out the DMC campus 😉, I actually submitted for season tickets for next year with a buddy of mine.

Thats the campus I wanna go to...I went to wayne state for undergrad and grad school.

I def wanna get Lions season tickets too now

Congrats Lions! I deferred this cycle and will be at MSUCOM in '12 as well 🙂 Unsure of the site though--I like the DMC site but am leaning toward East Lansing--most of my family is there and my boyfriend is likely going to end up working at MSU too.

Could you post your stats? Congrats!!! I am really hoping for the waitlist guaranteed for next year route...as I want to take a year off but have the peace of mind that I got in to my top school...good to know those are still getting sent out. Also, when were you complete?

Thanks! Congrats to you also! As of now I like the DMC cus I'm familiar with the area but I plan on going to East Lansing for a tour.

I really didn't want to take a year off, I have an acceptance elsewhere for this upcoming year but MSU is my #1 so I'll wait. I had a 3.3 undergrad gpa for both sci and cumulative. 24Q Mcat and a 3.78 gpa for my masters degree. I was complete first week of october
 
Hi Everyone,
I was just checking through my acceptance letter and it says 'the balance on your deposit is due no later than February 1, 2011,' and that they will assume that you no longer want to attend if you don't pay by then. I made a payment of $1050.00 back in November as soon as I got my acceptance - is that all that is due ? Or is there some other fee that I have to pay?

Chances of receiving admission for summer?
 
chances are that you should, and you will receive acceptance. my friend sent his secondary on end of February last year, and got in the the third week of march with similar stats like yours, even with a 3 point lower MCAT. he is from IOWA, out of state too. so keep your hopes up. I have people who accepted in may and june with way lower MCATS and g.p.athan yours. so keep your head up, and make sure you have 1050 $ saved cash or credit card, because they will give you acceptance and few weeks to hold your seat.

That makes me feel a lot better. I am a Canadian applicant, hopefully Im treated just like an out of state applicant. Waiting for a reply is really brutal and looks like Ive gotta wait a while but yes I will gladly pay the $1050..lol. Thanks for the reply.
 
Woooohoooo 😀 I just got off the waiting list today. I also received the email at like 10:30. Wow that was a fast turn around I was wait-listed last Wednesday.

My guess is that it's early enough in the process of waitlist movement that you will eventually be able to attend your first-choice campus. This is only a guess though. Give admissions a call tomorrow.

From what I believe I read from the facebook group, DMC fills up very fast, I believe that there are still EL and MUC spots open, but it's best to call. Either way, congrats to everyone accepted!

DMC is full at the moment, but there is a lot of movement before school starts so usually people get the site they want.

If anyone's wondering, they're currently not able to give out any information about where one's position is on the waitlist.
 
I received an e-mail today, I'm on ze waitlist. Has anybody gone on the tour they offer to those on the waitlist? I haven't been back around Fee Hall since I graduated last May.
 
do you have a better chance of getting in this year if your on the waiting list and have a guaranteed spot in the class of 2016?

I left that part blank... I feel like I accounted for my activities pretty darn thoroughly on my secondary!
 
I was wondering what proper attire would be considered for the tour this friday?...Dress shirt with jeans? or would dress pants be a safe bet

Being a Thursday I expected a lot more action on this page! Has no one heard anything? How about the waitlist?
 
I spoke with someone on the admissions committee today who said that committee will be meeting Weds March 2 and again Weds March 9 and then that will probably be it unless they have trouble filling spots, so I was advised if I didn't hear in the next 2 weeks to call admissions regarding the status of my application. Best of luck to everyone!

I didn't...still having heard a peep from them, next week wounds like do or die time. Good luck to those of us stragglers still holding out some hope.
 
How long after u submit ur deposit do they send you a pin number to set up an email account?

I called the admission's office and the secretary said they will probably be meeting up until the end of the month. Quite the intense wait.
 
Ouch, COM just dropped to 14th in the US news ranking for primary care (and again is unranked in research).

For what it's worth CHM stayed level in primary care but dropped 30 spots in research, to 87.
 
Placed on the wait list this morning, and from my understanding it is not the high priority list. I have heard that they send out guaranteed acceptances for 2015 separate from the wait list email... anyone know if this is the case or if they send it all together?

do you mind sharing your stats, and when where you complete? thanks and good luck. I know MSUCOM have lots of movements in their waiting lists starting soon, usually same time every year. but I am not sure about the normal waitlist, but the High priority one moves up a lot. I think both emails come together right after each other, not separate. but I am not sure if down the road when the movement happen, if they boost you up from normal to high. If I were you I will call admissions. Its a good question

I was wait-listed Feb 23 and also granted guaranteed acceptance next year...they were separate emails. Heading to East Lansing Friday...So pumped!
