What kind of MCAT score would be reasonable if I wanted to apply early decision to MSUCOM? I've got decent grades (3.9), letters, and activities but am unsure of what my MCAT will be. I'm a michigan resident and am very much interested in osteopathy. Thanks.

hudsontc,

I am not particularly familiar with MSUCOM, but both Western and Touro EAP require that you have a valid and current MCAT score when applying... You didn't specify if you were intersted in applying this cycle, but if you are, I don't think you will be eligible for early admission this year...

But if you are inquiring about next year's cycle, and your MCAT is as outstanding as your GPA, I am sure you will qualify!

p.s. Both Western and Touro's EAP minimums are 3.3/27.

I actually called the admissions office yesterday regarding this. The lady I spoke with mentioned that the minimum was 8s across the board. Of course that is the minimum, so you should obviously shoot for higher as that is what will be expected if applying EDP. Of course people have applied and gotten in to schools with much lower stats but they applied during the regular admissions cycle and had outstanding clinical experiences, ECs, LORs, and interviews. Good luck. I'm sure you'll be fine.
