What do you do if u get multiple acceptances (should u be so lucky - I mean people are applying to multiple schools)? Do u have to pay a deposit w/i 30 days and is it refundable? What if u r lucky enough to be accepted by school A first but u really want to go to school B but u don't know if/when you will get an interview from school B? If you turn down school A, you might never get school B. Does anyone know how the ADEA traffic rules work? Can you hold multiple acceptances?

You either put down the deposit within the allotted time period (you can try begging for an extension) or give up your acceptance. Some deposits are refundable, some are not, it varies by school and the terms will be given along with your acceptance notification. Yes, you can hold multiple seats but you need to trim down the list in April when schools are notified of people holding multiple acceptances.

If u can't make your decision on where u wanna go, or at most debate between 2 schools, good luck owning ur own practice. Not saying it to be mean, just being honest and trying to put things in perspective.

What most people seem to do is to put down a deposit at School A, and wait to hear back from School B. I don't think the deposits are usually refundable.

From what my school advisor told me, most DS charge a fairly high premium on deposits to discourage people from holding onto seats etc etc.

It's suppose to be around $500-$1500 for deposit, non-refundable. Seems to me if you want to pick, pick good.

Im pretty confused on how those two relate. I guess you're referring to picking their location for their practice ? Regardless, I don't think theres anything wrong with figuring out which school will fit you better by doing additional research. In fact, kudos to anyone with multiple acceptances.

BU was $3000 non refundable single deposit last year and NYU was $5000 in multiple deposits if I remember, most are much smaller than that though.

So many east coast schools have a $400 - $500 deposit, and stony is $1000.
