I had interviews at MUSC and Augusta too. Got an acceptance to MUSC (in-state) yesterday and fingers crossed for DCG. I didn't apply to VCU so I can speak on them.

I thought both had really nice clinics but to me DCG seemed a little nicer.
The faculty at both places were extremely nice.
Cost of living in Charleston is high but you get what you pay for. Augusta didn't seem too bad but I agree that it did seem a little boring, which could mean fewer distractions.

If I get that phone call from DCG then I'll be in the same position and I'm not entirely sure which school I'd choose at this point.

I would choose VCU over DCG. DCG is a great school but I've heard the first two years are pretty tough and they don't offer remediation so if you mess up you're gonna be repeating a year. On top of this Augusta looks pretty boring. MUSC could be a good choice but I don't know much about them. Either way congrats!

I don't know much about the dental school at MUSC, but I'm sure its decent. Augusta is a school powered by the slave labor of the students - you will come out of the school as a great dentist but at a cost of a lotttt of stress.

Of course I am biased, but I would choose VCU if all were equal. Go to whichever is your state school, but if all are OOS then you would get the most value at VCU while remaining mostly sane throughout the 4 years.

What is HPSP?

Military scholarship. You can google it.

It seems like you like MUSC the most. I'm a student at VCU and really enjoy it here. You get a lot of clinical practice and the doctors are mostly all very supportive and helpful.
