Hi everyone,

I'm currently writing a second round of update letters for some of my schools that I'm waiting to hear back (they're all fairly receptive to updates). The first time around, I wrote an update letter+letter of interest, explaining why I would be a good fit for their school.

This time around, I really want to re-state my continued interest in these schools and explain again why I am a good fit. Is this fine? If so, how should I explain "why X school" (would it be OK to repeat information from the first time I explained "why X school" or should I use new information to answer that)? Or, is this a totally bad idea?

And before anyone says anything, yes, I know that update letters usually don't make a difference. But I have a lot of free time, so I might as well send them since I have nothing to lose.

Would these be for interviews or wait lists?

@BABSstudent was kind enough to put the (multiple) update letters he wrote last cycle on his MDapps page: http://mdapplicants.com/profile.php?id=24467

Definitely worth checking out and using as a model for whatever you write!
Someone remembered me!

One thing I want to say is check out how long of a waiting period I had between those letters. I think the first one was sent in November, then January and then March.

The letters are at the bottom of the page.
