I posted this in the "veterinary" section as well, but I thought maybe someone here might know too?

I just got accepted to UC Dublin where they offer a MVB (Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine) degree rather than a traditional DVM in the US. The program is accredited by the AAVMC and requires a Bachelor's to enter. Does anyone know if this would affect my chances of getting a job in the US after I graduate? Thanks!

P.S. As a side note: If I did practice in the US would I still be called "Dr."?

i think this is common question for any student thinking about getting thier degree internationally. If you look at the Dublin, Glasgow, RVC, etc. threads many students get into the nitty gritty about this but basically you will be a doctor in the states and it is the same degree as a dvm in the states its just the way the educational system is in the UK that they consider this a bachelor's degree. There's more explanations on the other threads so i suggest going there to hear what current students think.

Also I know that there is no problem finding jobs/internships/residencies in the states because it is AVMA accredited and I found many people from U of glasgow (which is the school I'm considering) have been able to find jobs relatively easily.
