i applied this cycle but i am really unsure of my chances of getting in. here are my stats:

overall GPA: 3.47
Science GPA: 2.96

DAT scores:
O-chem 22
G-chem 19

i have LOTS of dental experience of working in a dental office as an assistant (over 3 years of experience) and i have lots of extra curriculars! i submitted my aadsas application at the end of july and it was mailed out on 7/21. here is a list of the schools i applied to:

I guess you want an honest opinion, since you asked for it. The majority of your credentials match well with your choices of schools, but your sGPA may very well keep you out this year. Even if it was a flat 3.0 it would look better to adcoms than 2.xx. That 2 sends bad vibes. If you can bring it up during the fall semester you can submit new grades during the academic update period at the end of fall. That might improve your chances. Unless you have a connection to a school, I think your best bet is bringing that sGPA up and explaining to the adcoms why you got lower grades in the first place. Good luck.

Any research experience? As stated above, science gpa kinda sucks, but I think your dental experience somewhat outweighs that.

Overall though, hit a homerun with the interview and you'll get in somewhere.

I think you should take a science course this semester and get a high grade in it, bring that 2.96 to a 3.0, and then send in the Academic Update with a 3.xx science...
