Hey all,
I was just wondering what my chances were so far? I am a sophomore at the UNC and I have 3.6 gpa and a 3.5 science gpa. I have a few officer roles in clubs and I have done research for 3 semesters. And I also have a 100 hours of shadowing. Is there anything else I could do to improve my chances?

Volunteering. Get involved with some community hours, it doesn't have to be healthcare related.

Your GPA is good, but what about your DAT scores? If you have a 19+ score and consistent on each section, then you should be fine. Also, I would suggest volunteering as well. Volunteering at the NC MOM clinics is a great way to start, but there are a lot of opportunities on and off campus.

I think there was a post on what some of these SDNers wish they had done different before applying.. def. look for it, there was some really helpful advice on that. I wish I kept good notes from Gen. Biology and Orgo 1 and 2. I also wish I took my DATs the summer after I finished Orgo 2. Def. start your DAT studying this summer if youre not taking any classes, you'll save yourself a lot of stress come application time.
