is there a set number of schools that you want to apply to? i would say do both option one and two. apply to the schools you originally planned while scheduling to take the PCAT again as well as apply to schools that do not require the pcat.

Im starting to get really flustered. I could use some advice...I took the June PCAT and got a 59%.🙁 Even my 3.99 GPA wont make up for that. I have 2 options...

1) Sumbit my application to the schools i originally intended to with the intention of taking the October Pcat and pray that i do better.

2) Or switch around the schools I apply to and only apply to schools that dont require the PCAT.

Any advice?
Do both. Apply to schools that require the PCAT and hope that you get in, and apply to schools that don't take the PCAT and hope you can get it.

I hardly imagine you got GPA 3.99 and PCAT 59%. I really wonder how your PCAT score is so bad. Did you study for PCAT? or too nervous while taking the test. I think you'd better choosing a school that does not require PCAT score. Good luck!
P.S I am not a pre-dent. I believe you will go to somewhere.

I would agree that you SHOULD do both: apply to all the schools you intend (regardless of their pcat requirement) AND retake the pcat with careful studying this time! There must be something wrong, a gpa like yours should never yield such a poor pcat. Good luck !

3.99......???? this gets me thinking. have u completed ur BS yet? if u haven't, the 3.99 doesn't mean much!! my little brother has a 4.0, but his 4.0 doesn't mean much until he gets that BS in his hand.

I wouldn't eliminate those PCAT schools as you have a couple of PCAT dates left in August and October. However, I would add some non-PCAT schools that'll like that GPA even if you won't have your degree by the end of the year.

Do both. With that GPA you can apply to any of the California schools (which don't reqire pCAT) and get accepted.
