If a prescription glass for myopia works well for far vision but makes the near vision worse, do you think multifocal or progressive lens are the right choice? The patient near vision is normal without the glass.

It depends on the age of the patient what the reason for the blurred near vision is but in general the answer is yes.

sometimes yes, sometimes no...it depends on why they are blurred

A lot of myopes prefer to simply remove their glasses for near tasks which can allow a presbyope to defer bifocals for several years much to their delight!
