i ran over this question in asda released
losee of primary right molar in a 3 yrs old requires placement of:
1.band and loop
2.distal shoe
3.removable acrylic appliance
4.none of above
it says the answer is 4 while i was thinking its 1.
is there like an age recommendation for space maintainer placement??

I too thought it will be 1? Mosby's has a nice section on space management but also it depends on loss of 1st or 2nd primary molar, if so either band and loop or distal shoe resp.

can someone explain this?
