I took the test the end of last month and received my score today. It is 89. I am a ftd--do I have any chance to get into any dental program with this score?

My GPA is only 3.36. I used 2006-2007 decks and NEBD 1 lecture notes as primary materials. I went through them about 5 times. I also went through old released test once.

I am an old graduate, so i studied for 8 months--every night plus weekend. I guess someone needs more and someone needs less, all depending on how long you left school. I think you can find those old questions online and this forum.
To me the Kaplan review notes is good.

Please see above for the materials i studied. In addition, i forgot to mention that i went through the NBDE 1 first aid twice right quick just 2 weeks before the exam--it really helps me get a whole picture of the thing. I do not know how to score high. if i knew, i would be 90+. :meanie:

Hi Okmar,
You really did very well. That's a nice score.Don't think about getting 90+.Sometimes it happens.
I have started my preparation 10 days back and my exam is on September 5th.When you said you have studied for 8 months I really feel like I am lacking of time. But I am a mother and I have to take care of my baby after September. For 8 months how many hours you have studied? Please throw some light.I am studying 10 hours per day and I have started with decks and Kaplan lectures of Biochemistry. Please tell me is the exam very very tough?Does it need a lot of thinking by understanding the concepts each and every line or memorizing? Please guide me.I appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance.

It's not easy for a mom- my respect to you. I think you have enough time if you can study 10 hours a day. Make sure to keep it going everyday including weekends. In my case, I had to work at daytime and started to study from 8-12.
At the beginning, you want to cover as many topics as you can and try to understand the concepts. Then revision is the key to memorize. Most questions in the real test are not hard at all. I would say the testlets are tough. Hope this helps.
