Hi -

New to the forum, I don't believe this has been covered but please forgive if it has.

I am an older, non-trad student with a somewhat complicated educational background and a sub-par undergrad GPA (c2.99, s3.23).

B.S. in Biology rec'd 1994 so all pre-reqs are outdated. Starting to re-take core pre-reqs in Summer 2012 and looking seriously at post bac programs for 2013 to boost GPA and establish a more recent academic history.

I also, immediately following undergrad, did the first 2 years of an ND program and my question surrounds how that is handled on AMCAS and how it might be perceived by an adcom.

I decided the program was not for me and dropped out, but I was disinterested well before doing so and my performance reflects it. Luckily, most courses were Credit/NC, but nonetheless I should have left the program a year before I actually did.

Will I have to include my ND coursework on AMCAS app? Will it factor into GPA? Will an adcom even look at it? Concerns (probably obvious) are: not finishing the program shows that I wasn't committed / didn't think it thorough, and my poor performance is just one more thing to explain.

Anyone with experience in this realm, and/or advice?

Many thanks!
