I've heard of students get Upenn's dean's scholarship early. That's the only one. I think everyone is on a similar playing field with the exception of probably 5% of rich applicants. The rest of us fall somewhere in the lower to upper middle class. All of which would have trouble paying off dental school debt. We are all on a level playing field as well because most of us will be 23+ (or will turn 23+ in d-school) and this means your parents income no longer counts towards FASFA...so even if your parents have money, it doesn't matter..you still have a low EFC. That's how I understand it anyways.
The best way to save money is work your butt off, get into your state school and have the least amount of debt. If not, you end up at those "easier" to get into private schools that cost 3 times as much. boo..
