Need Help in the DFW, TX Area..

Live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area (Arlington to be exact) and would love to start shadowing. Would love to shadow a DO but MD would obviously be okay as well. Don't really know where to start or how to go about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I know, why does this have to be so difficult? Am I missing something? I hear my peers talk all the time about "shadowing" but I can't find a way to do the same....

Well as I mentioned in my post, I think someone has really taught Dallas area DO's some inappropriate things about HIPPA. I went, in person, with my resume, letters of rec, and even copies of my EMT license (inactive) to several DO's offices before the holiday, and I was told by each office that shadowing is no longer allowed because of HIPPA regulations. We all know this isnt true, but someone or something has Dallas area DOs spooked.

yeah sounds like. my family med doc, who has been so for almost 15 years, told me I couldn't shadow him because of HIPPA...ouch.
