A PA from Ethiopia and I are planning to go to Ethiopia in 2013 to help a psychiatric hospital that has no physicians. A big part of our mission will be to get local General Practice physicians some training in how to manage the psychiatric and neurologic disorders of the patients.

Anyone have ideas on how/where we might get...
- books (used are fine)
- generic medicines (recently expired are fine)
- educational resources for med students or residents on CD/DVD (there is no internet access)
- educational resources on CD/DVD for nurses/psych techs, esp milieu therapy

If readers here have educ. resources they will be discarding/donating in the next 6 months, please PM me.

Any have ideas on where there are good online psychiatric lectures/resources? It is possible the hospital will get internet access in the next year.

cant help but:

1. have you read 'where there is no psychiatrist; by Vikram Patel?
2. do you anticipate on learning something about the culture and cultural responses to loss and trauma and manifestations of psychopathology?
