Questions:
-How many hours of dental shadowing should I have?
-Plan on taking DAT July. Have been studying a lot, still one month to go. Is this date considered okay to be early?

dental shadowing - anywhere from 50-200 is fine

Submit your application ASAP with the upcoming DAT test on there. I think there should be a place to add a DAT you haven't taken yet.

Apply to private schools and if you did your post-bacc at a school that has a dental program, do that too.
