Hey all,
I'm taking my DAT's June 22nd. I've been studying like a madwoman for months, but I wanted some advice as to whether I should even apply due to my low GPA:
sGPA: 2.9 (I am taking 6 hours of science this summer, it goes up to a 3.1 if I get As!!)
cGPA: 3.25 (it goes up too but i didn't calculate, probably not by much though)
my problem grades are in my sophomore year, I was on a competitive dance team and got injured and needed knee surgery...so here's the damage:
Orgo I: C+
Orgo II: C
Cell Bio: C
and the rest of my science grades are mostly B+/B's, I started getting A's towards the end though since I have a lot of free time now. I am NOT a URM, i have almost 100 hours of shadowing, am a part of a service fraternity so plenty of volunteering. I am on my school's pre-dental board, and was on another organization's board as well at the same time., and a bunch of other random clubs that I've been in for years, I'm big on volunteering lol.
The dentist who's writing my rec letter kind of loves me so I'm expecting a good one 🙂
I've been breaking 20's on most of my DAT practice tests on topscore (except for reading comp...but i'm working on it!)
any advice?! should I bother putting my aadsas together or go straight to filling out masters applications?
Thanks in advance 🙂
