Just wonddering, do you need to get a new LORs and a new PS if you are a re applicant? if I would be a re applicant it would be because of my mcat score, but everything else in my app is p good imo.

Also PS is supposed to be timeless, it shouldnt have an expiry date of "when i dont get accpeted", it sounds a little bit strange to re write why i want to be a doctor in the span of just one year. it sounds insincere

I don't think the point is that your old one was insincere or that you need to change your "why" to medicine, the point is that you didn't get accepted and should polish up all parts of your application before applying again. You would also have another year of life that you can fit into your PS compared to last year. Were it my reapplication, I would be concerned that they would pull up my app from last year and after seeing I didn't polish my PS, assume I was lazy and as a reapp I'd really want to avoid even the chance of a negative bias.

I don't think you need new LoR's but they will need to be updated with the new year IIRC. Can check the AMCAS guide, I don't remember what it says about that.
