My status didn't change and still sits at "Pending IRG Review." I wouldn't have known anything was going on without the email.
 
I also received an email today for a new NHLBI application.

Do we have an idea of the likelihood of funding if invited for the financial review?
 
I know two people that just got financial review emails from NIAAA (one CR one IDB).
 
Got an email about financial review for an NIAID renewal this week
 
I got an email for financial review this past Monday- Woohoo! This is for a NIMH renewal. My colleague also got the email last week for her NIDA renewal! They seem to be getting things done relatively early this year. Best of luck to you all!

I also have a friend who got a financial review request last week for a new application to NIDA - just FYI for new NIDA applicants. So seems NIDA might be reviewing/processing both renewals and new proposals around the same time this year
 
Renewal at NIDDK: Still Pending IRG Review. Not feeling great about that. My first award was at NIMH, not sure how I ended up at NIDDK this time

New applicaiton at NIDDK: Still Pending IRG Review as well. Also not feeling great about it but still holding out some hope!

For what it's worth, my status still says Pending IRG Review so I would still have hope!
 
Has any one heard from NINDS yet about a financial review email? I have Pending IRG Review on my status since 3/37/2024.

Has anyone here gone through financial review and then NOT get the award? My financial review is completed, and I'm just preparing myself for what I am calling the "NIH tease"...

Unfortunately yes. A colleague of mine went through financial review during postdoc but was not awarded an LRP. I'm not sure how rare this is, but it does happen.

I'm also in the same boat of now having completed my financial review and waiting for award decisions later this summer. Fingers crossed for all of us.

ugh that is so painful to hear! I'm shocked they put people through that. cruel.
 
I submitted an application for a new extramural LRP for NICHD (primary) or NIMH (secondary). Application landed with NIDA. Status still reads "Pending IRG review" and I've not received an email about document verification, so starting to lose hope. Good luck to everyone!
 
For those who have received financial review, does your application still say "Pending IRG Review?" I received notice of financial review on 4/15/24 but the status still reads "Pending IRG Review" with status date 3/7/24. I applied for a new extramural LRP to NIAMS.

Same. My financial review was completed and approved in early/mid-May, and my status has never changed from "pending IRG review." New extramural award to NCCIH.

Same here again. Between the LRP and another grant that will *hopefully* switch any moment to pending administrative review my eRA commons refresh rate is at an all time high 🙃
 
I received an email recently that my different financial documents were approved, but that “if needed, please submit the required documentation.” Did others receive a different email that the financial review was complete?

I'm a NIDA renewal applicant. Got fin review request 4/10/24, submitted docs ~10 days later, and was emailed on 5/8/24 that fin vetting was completed. My email stated: We have reviewed your loan documents. Please review the status and comment for each loan. If needed, please submit the required documentation." If the status or comment of any loan says something other than "approved," you need to contact them to address it.
 
Has anybody heard anything from NIMHD, by chance? I don't see anyone posting about it but thought I'd ask directly. Mine changed status 4/5/2024, but still says "Pending IRG Review".
 
After completing my financial document review last month, LRP just reached out to my employer to confirm my salary for the coming year...so that's a new step I didn't know about.

They did that for my initial LRP. Are you initial or a renewal?
 
For renewals - does the LRP do the institutional salary verification again? For my initial LRP, I received the financial vetting notification on the same day that I was notified that my institutional business official salary verification was completed. See dates below:
  • 05/16/2022 - Institutional Business Official Salary Verification confirmation - To Applicant
  • 05/16/2022 - Initial SSN Notification
I currently have a renewal under review. But this time around I got financial vetting without any email about IBO Salary verification. Looking in my Commons at the Correspondence section, it also doesn't look like like they contacted my IBO (except for the IBO salary vetting completed right before the application was due).

Renewal applicants - is this consistent with yours?

Oh I may have just answered my own question. I just read on the LRP website that they don't consider debt-to-income ratio for renewals. See statement below from their website:

Current and former LRP awardees may apply for a competitive renewal award provided that they continue to meet eligibility requirements, with the exception of the debt-to-income ratio.

Yet still... can any renewals w/ financial vetting confirm their IBOs weren't contacted? 😅

Whoa!! That definitely does seem early since it seems the NOAs usually come in late July or early August the past few years. The sitting waiting wishing continues.....

Checked eRA commons this morning and noticed there is a new button under my LRP application that says "View Portal".... when I click it shows information about my loans and dates for future payments 😯 still no change to my status an no email notifcations but things are moving ???
 
I need some guidance...

I logged into my era portal to check my status (hasnt changed since April). I applied for a new LRP through NICHD peds. To date, I have not received any emails regarding financial vetting. However, when I logged on today (to torture myself) I noticed a new button for add additional documents. When I click on that button it shows an option to upload financial documents. Again- I have not received any emails but this was not here the last time I checked (two-ish weeks ago).

Has this happened to anyone else? What could this possibly mean? It feels so late in the game, but maybe better late than never??

I have not had this specific experience, but in my more general experience with eRA Commons there is usually a delay (~1-2 days) between something changing with status on a grant and when I get an email notification. I'm thinking mostly of release of grant scores, release of summary statements, etc.... perhaps that applies here as well?

NIMH Clinical Research - New.

My Notice of Award showed up in my email this morning!! :clap: The instructions in the email stated that the View Portal button is the Participant Portal that will be used to management payments for the award.
