anyone else hear this?

Touro is opening up their allopathic med school in Florham Park for next year, and Hackensack University Medical Center will be their affiliate. They will be losing ties to UMDNJ-NJMS.

One thing that really excited me about NJMS was the prospect of rotating through Hackensack, Im really sad to see it go.

Agreed.
While it is nice to see another med school open up in Jers, its too bad NJMS loses Hackensack.

dam this is the first i've heard of this, thanks for posting it.

touro is gonna be pretty easy to get into i suspect right?

being new and all

There is no medical school that's going to be easy to get into. Can't you already see the ravenous re-appliers that found out about it through SDN? (I could very well be in that group...)

Hi there,

I am OMSIV and have had my IM interview there. There was no mention of this during the interview and during my second look (about two weeks ago) there was still no mention of this...

Where did you find out this information?😕

is touro going to be a DO school?

well it seems like there going through LCME accred process so no- allopathic

The new program will be a MD program and NJMS will not be losing Hackensack. I was just in a meeting where they discussed the new medical program and thought I might offer some clarifications.

during my interview at NJMS this came up and apparently both schools will be using hackensack with NJMS eventually planning to withdraw and add a new site at a later date.
