Hey guys, early applicant here. Application completed by the middle of June ish? Still havent recieved any interview invites. Im a pretty low stat applicant (3.2 oGPA, 22 DAT) so I applied pretty broadly.
I see that some of the schools have already begun giving out interviews and my worried mind just had a few questions...

1.) Is it time to panic if people who have applied later than me already got an interview?
2.) Does my advantage in applying early no longer have any benefit since its almost september now? 3.) Do dental schools give out interviews to the strong applicants first and weak applicants later?

gpa is low, DAT is great. Don't panic many schools will start to give interview invites next week. You may not be a first choice candidate but you will get a few interviews for sure. Unless there is something very wrong with your app, bad LOR, bad PS, no ECs etc its too early to panic.

Anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong, but most of the interviews that have been sent out right now are the top 1-10% of applicants, more interviews are bound to show up as time progresses and you should get some more interviews depending on which programs you applied to in the upcoming weeks/months.

Don't get discouraged. I had a friend who applied in July and received some invites in October and even as late as March!!

At this point, I think schools are inviting their top applicants for interviews. Just because you haven't received interviews from the first wave of invites, doesn't mean you won't in the near future.

I honestly don't know about the acceptance part. But hey, at least they received the invite for the interview

But I do think your stats are great. Do not panic, it's still pretty early. I am sure that you will get in, assuming you applied to the rights schools.
