No Status At Cornell

My status at Cornell is just gone. Yesterday, it said I was under review, please be patient, etc. Today, there is just nothing in the box. Did this happen to anyone else? Does this mean they're changing my status maybe??

not sure. have you interviewed? i interviewed there and absolutely loved it - great people, deans, etc. Where else have you applied?

Haven't interviewed. I applied to all four schools in Manhattan and have an interview in December at Mt. Sinai. Cornell and Mt. Sinai have been my top choices for a long, long time. I also applied to NYMC, Albany Medical College, BU, Tufts, Brown, UMich (IS), MSU (IS), Wayne State (IS), UWisc (grew up in WI), MCW, Stanford, USC, UCSD (for kicks), UVermont, Loyola, Rosalind Franklin, UChicago (rejected!), Virginia Commonwealth, Vanderbilt

I used to live in NYC and absolutely LOVED every minute of it. Have been trying to find a reason to get back there for three years! Problem is, my fiance is interviewing for jobs in Boston (they love him there!). I hope I get some more interviews!

That might be a good sign, my status at Cornell is still the same (please be patient etc).

I'm a little surprised you didn't get an interview at UW yet, or an auto at UMich being IS.

Yeah I was surprised about Michigan, too. I'm not sure what to think about UW. My parents live about three blocks from the school and that is still my permanent address, so I would have thought I'd get an interview too. We'll see I guess...

I was complete at Cornell sometime in mid-August. I don't have access to my yahoo mail account right now (at work), so I don't know the exact date.

When were you complete at most school? I wouldn't worry about Wisconsin yet, unless you were complete in July. I don't think they've gotten around to looking at many apps.

I have been complete at some schools since the middle of August. Some I just finished last week. Wisconsin didn't even send me a secondary until the beginning of September. I turned it around very quick, but you're right. They aren't really in the thick of their interviews yet at all.

I'm really hoping for an interview with BU, Tufts (just completed) or Brown (completed a couple of weeks ago) because that seems to be where my fiance will end up. Hard to be a married couple in different cities...

Ugh- so I emailed Cornell today to tell them that my status was blank and to ask what that means. Now, my status has returned to "Your file is under review," etc. I kinda liked it better blank. At least that made me feel like there had been some movement...

Send another email and your status should change to "invited to interview" 🙂

It took a while after I got my interview invite for them to even change the status page to reflect that.

Um, this is related and is probably a bad sign, but when I try to check my status at Cornell it says "The AAMC ID you provided is not in the system with the birthdate you entered."

😱 I've been erased! I think that may be worse than rejection. 🙁

So, is the thing having some kind of glitch or did they really just wipe me out?

Same here, and I already interviewed, so I'm sure it's just a glitch.

To the OP, since according to your mdapps you have already been invited to interview, your status on the website will change to reflect that.

i am a one step at a time kind of girl. i would bite off both of my big toes for an acceptance at mount sinai (interview complete). i have big ugly toes anyway.😱

Don't you need big toes for balance?

If your thumb gets cut off, they'll remove one of your big toes and stick it on your hand. You don't really need a big toe for balance.
