aww wish I could help but dunno much myself.

Maybe you could try the following if you haven't already...
"The International Education Board Ireland,
65 Fitzwilliam Square,
Dublin 2,
Ireland.
Tel. 00-353-1-6612085 Fax. 00-353-1-6768623"

Or try calling universities and askin them about the process.

Best of luck!

The Irish Medical Council does need seem to have a method for you to register. Internship registration is only open to graduates of Ireland or EU/EEA medical schools; the reason you are not getting any info is because you are not eligible to do internship at all in Ireland as it stands. The next option, for Trainee Specialist registration you need to have completed internship already either in the EC or abroad - if abroad then you would be a Category 4 applicant. But, you have no internship. The only option for non-EU graduates is if they have completed internship as well.

Your best option is to see if the GMC in the UK have a system for you to register there first: http://www.gmc-uk.org/doctors/registration_applications/img_pr_p1.asp.

They have a click through tree and have an option for doctors with EC rights (it tells you to select that you are an EC citizen if you have EC rights such as married) with no internship and a graduate abroad. So, they have a way for you to get registered in the UK if you ahve EC rights but no internship.

The three main factors as far as I can tell:

1. EC rights or not
2. location of medical school
3. Internship completed or not

Unfortunately, it seems the Irish council does not have a system for those who have no internship who graduated outside the EC, whether they have EC work rights or not. The GMC does have a system for them so start there IMO.
