Hi everyone! I'm a nontraditional student planning to apply MD this cycle. Would love thoughts on my school list.

cGPA: 3.58

State of Residency: Colorado, ties to Oklahoma (grew up there) and Texas (lived there for 3 years).

Clinical Experience: 400 Hours by time of app, but 2080 hours by summer 2024 of Medical Assisting in Colon and Rectal Surgery

300 Hrs of In-Patient Behavioral Health Technician Job

250 Hrs of Scribing in Emergency Department

60 Hours Harm Reduction Volunteering

62 Hrs of Shadowing between PM&R, OBGYN, Psychiatry (& electroconvulsive therapy), Colon/Rectal Surgery, some E-Shadowing during COVID

Research Experience:

290 Hrs Working as Lab Manager for Clinical Psych lab

460 Hrs of Clinical Psych Research + scholarships for my research in college student mental health

Sinai, Baylor, Mayo, UTSW, USC, Dartmouth, Einstein, Hofstra, UNC (?), Miami, Vermont, USF-Morani (?), SUNY Downstate, I will also probably just apply to all Texas schools since it’s a flat fee.

I’m not planning on applying DO, but I’m unsure.

Any thoughts or advice is appreciated!!

Your GPA is below the 10th percentile for the majority of schools you are considering and the Texas schools admit few non residents.
