I was wondering if anyone that recieved an early interview from ECU would be willing to offer any information about the interveiw process or any other helpful information? I am hoping to receive an interview in January. Thank you

I interviewed at ECU in 2012. There are 3 interviews:
- the first one is with a PT student, and is more of a friendly get-to-know you chat, than an interview. They will tell you about ECU, activities at the school, etc. You can ask about student life, where to live, how bad is the commute and other day-to-day things.
- the second interview is with a faculty member; I was asked which classes I liked most/least in college. Nothing terribly hard.
- the last interview was with another faculty member, a clinician and another student. I was asked what I thought of a certain policy, and what I would do in a certain situation (sorry, I forgot the specifics). They just want to see how you think; as long as you can express yourself clearly and logically, you'll be fine. Good luck.

Jblil described ECU's interview perfectly. 3 separate interviews for 15 min each.

first is 1 on 1 with student, pretty laid back just gives you an opportunity to ask them questions.

my second interview was with 2 faculty who knew who i was/reviewed my application. they really just asked questions about my application, nothing too difficult. they then asked if i had any questions for them so i fired away at them.

the last interview was with a student, faculty, and clinician. none of these people know anything about you (or so they say), so you are expected to let them know who you are, what interests you about PT, etc. I was asked some basic questions from them and also one about healthcare reform and how that change is going to change me as a PT - most difficult question by far.

I then got to tour the facility and the whole visit lasted about 1.5 hrs.

Very friendly and welcoming faculty. I was very impressed with their facility. Would love to attend their PT program.

How was the Elon Interview on Dec. 5th? I am interviewing on the 15th and would love any feedback!

Thanks for the awesome information. I guess I need to read up on the healthcare reform. I would love to know if you get into the program. This definitely gives me a better idea of what to expect.

They emailed me about a week and a half ago and offered an interview, but I turned them down as I wouldn't have accepted their acceptance offer (if it came) over the other schools that have contacted me.

had a good time at the Elon interview- thanks to all the PM people from 15th for making it a chill day. good luck with hearing back

anyone who interviewed/got accepted plan on attending ECU?

I just got an interview with Elon today for 1/30 that I plan on attending, but I do have a few interviews before that date so we will see how things work out.
I have interview at Elon on the 30th too! 🙂
