I was just wondering where those who got in were from (undergrad)...just in case that whole region thing is true

Congrats man...you are def in...she wouldn't have called you otherwise. Damn...like half the people who regularly post on this thread got called by Dean Brown today....think about those who don't post....maybe she called enough people today to fill up open spots? Damn...I am am STRESSED OUT! 😕

trust me...they will not call everyone in one day. granted the movement has started and the "majority" of movement will probably be within the next few weeks-month (even thats speculation), but dont stress out too much. honestly just at the moment i started realizing that i need to stop thinking so much about the waitlist i got a call. i know some people personally that got pulled off the waitlist in july and august. never give up hope and keep showing your interest. good luck and dont stress too much 🙂

oh, man, at 4:30, when the other poster said they got a phone call from Dean Brown, I got a call from a "unavailable number," and I freaked for a second. It was my fiancee. 🙁 her number didn't show up for some reason. I think my bp went over 200 for a second.

well i guess they must have made their acceptances. it makes sense since they told the people on here to get back to them by the end of the long weekend. seems like they would call everyone to give them that extra day to decide before they have to come back to work. i guess this is one of those small years!

I haven't given up hope yet! Stick with me, man! They said they weren't going to hit up the waitlist until mid-June. I can't imagine they'd be done already (10 days after 5/15). I remember akpete got off MCW's waitlist after the 4th of July.

There is nothing much we can do except keeping our hope. We called. We have expressed our SERIOUS interest. I mean...I love Northwestern and will go there in a heartbeat but there is nothing we can do to make Dean Brown dial our phone number, right? So we might as well stay positive. It might not help in the end, but it won't hurt...

This is what I have been telling myself since Feb...and, well, according to another thread, people can actually get off the waitlist on August 7th. So, maybe things will get better in the near future...

Congrats on those who get off the list. You guys are great! 🙂

The MS1 I stayed with for my interview told me that she got in off the waitlist in July--she had already arranged an apartment at a different school but changed all her plans when she heard about NU. I second FrankGK's comment that I hope as many of you get in as possible because I want future classmates who are excited about Northwestern! Good Luck!

So i got a call today......but it was from Case Western haha. It was a private number, so I thought maybe it was NU. I'm glad I didnt say anything stupid during my confusion. Anyways, I guess I have to make tough decisions again....if Northwestern would just call I wouldnt even have to worry about which school I would like to go to

thought this might help. when i got in i actually went to the office to drop off my acceptance (i was too excited) and i thanked the secretary for being so patient with all my calls letters. she said that that is what you need to do...keep showing interest. so...as hopeless as it may begin to seem...just keep showing interest. letters and calls...

also...i personally know someone who got off the waitlist in july last year. i also know someone who got in the day before her classes started at another med school. these things happen...so dont think that your chances are gone. good luck everyone.

😎 I wish we could see some numbers though! This unranked business is very frustrating. MCW tells people their ranking on a near daily basis, if you are inclined to call that often.

Oh no, she reads those letters. I know that for a FACT. Then they get put into a file.....

Called today. She told me that they expect more waitlist movement in the next 2 weeks or so.

Does everybody talk to the same woman? She asks for your A-A-M-C ID number. I think she was the tall woman with dark hair that I saw at my interview 😛 I spoke with another woman once, but only once.

I dont know who wants it more, but I do know that the three of us post in this thread a lot. I probably check this thread real quick 7 or 8 times a day to see if someone said anything new. Well, I hope NU calls soon because not only do I not want to have to start med school on July 10th, its also when I can no longer get taht beloved NU call!


I'm beginning to think I am one of those pitty waitlists LizzyM was talking about. They probably read my LOI and was like I can't say no to this kid, but I can just waitlist him and wait for him to matriculate elsewhere!
