I noticed a lot of kids in my class are doing poster presentations for mid-year and it was something suggested last year, however, I had my retail and institutional rotations around the time poster submissions were due (Oct 1), so I really had no idea what I wanted to do and not much support from my preceptors either. I'm on an academic rotation right now, working on something I am very passionate about and introduced to great project ideas-however, it is too late to submit a poster presentation idea as the deadline was on the 1st. My professor, however, wants to submit my work to IRB and he's suggested places where I could write and get published. Does not having a poster create a big disadvantage for residency applications?
