Hmm, I would like you to post some hard facts about this point you are making. TCOM may be ranked low in the minds of pre-medical school students b/c it is an osteopathic school and not an allopathic school, but I will be amazed if you can find facts to prove what you just said. Also, TCOM is ranked higher than TAMU and other schools in TX for that matter in regards to primary care. I know you dont want to go into primary care, but remember TAMU is also a big primary care school. Also, TCOM's average USMLE step one score for last year was a 220, 93% or 95% passing. Granted, not all the students at TCOM take the USMLE, but a large portion of them do. And this score seems just as good if not better than most of the other schools in Texas. The only arguement I can maybe see is you talk about clinical years, but you can always set up away rotations. Yeah we do not have a parkland or medical center at UTH, but there are ways to get around that. Also, remember the fact that TCOM is allowing you to do something that no other medical school allowed you to do, and this is to become a doctor. I hope I read to deep into your statement, and chances are I probably did, but be careful when posting your feelings on this board. People would give up so match to just have an acceptance right now. You have one. Granted you busted your butt in the post bacc, but TCOM gave you that chance. I know that I very much appreciate what TCOM has done for me. I know you do too, but show a little bit more compassion in your posts.
