Guys please don't fall for this..these people say they will admit 20 seats for international dentist, but last year they took only 7 of them out of 47 students ...
This was shocking for me though..I have applied several times here but they always give more preference to Latino students..difficult to believe but very true ....
So donno as far I have heard and experienced this is how it is...
any indian female willing to share hotel pls inbox me on from 6th to 8th march pls inbox me
ok guys best of luck for the interview. Here is to clarify any doubts you may have, Nova used to have 20-30 seats for international grads now its come down to 8-10. As far as preference for Latinos goes, no its not true. It just happens that since Nova is in south florida, there is a large latino application pool hence large number of latinos get in, but in general its a good mix of people. As far as the rumor goes about choosing people who are previous MS/AEGD etc, no no no... it is totally based on your resume and if you would fit into the mould Nova is searching for in their candidates. Do not rely on the night previous to the bench test for a practice round, that is solely to get you used to the instruments and work stations, practice wherever you can and get your preps accessed by a dentist from the states if that is possible.
As far as 3 yrs of studying goes it doesnt matter, 3 yrs will go by quickly and you have a strong clinical experience at Nova. check out the extended stay which is close by to Nova for accomodation or else there are tons of hotels in an area called plantation which is 15 min drive away.
Please let the community know if anyone of you got the admission call from Dr. Lippman?
Who told you they started calling? Did they call anyone you know? They already started calling. Did anybody got the call?
I think they are sending the emails in alphabetical order. What is the first letter of your name?I just received an email and i was not accepted. Good luck.
Even I did nt get acceptedAnd we can talk by phone
We were 50just curious- how many people did they fool this year? How many people were invited and how many accepted eventually?
I Don't want to act smart here but "I HAD WARNED EVERYONE"! anyway best of luck- you will get into a better program soon.I just want to say that they stole our money, that's what i feel. First that all, they ask $2500.00 and a lot of desperate international dentist apply with the hope that it is going to be a fair process. We were 50 and I feel that some of them were sure that they are going to be selected. Some applicants who were accepted are working in the university, attend the lab for practicing, and are recommended from friends, employees, family or politicians. You pay $2500.00 and the lunch that we got was a bunch of cold sandwiches with soda or water. Also, there were not case presentation and one of the teachers at the laboratory was very arrogant. I was not accepted but I feel there is little chance to be accepted without extra help. However, some got accepted without help and they deserve credit for that. Congratulations.
