Nova interviewees - were u rejected yet?

hi everyone,

for those who interviewed at nova, has anyone gotten rejected? or do they waitlist everyone after they interview? just curious. =) thanx!

ps. i interviewed after dec 1st and saw i was waitlisted
 
i just checked my status and it still says "invited for interview" even though my interview was on the 3rd. hopefully, that means i got in? it probably means that they haven't made a decision, but :xf: we'll see. wish me luck! :luck:
 
that probably is a good sign! im crossing my fingers for you! ill spill the beans and tell u that i interviewed there a week ago and they just updated my aadsas (which was pretty fast). if u read another thread, some people interviewed early december and their status changed from interview to rejection.

if u don't see /hear anything, i'd say give them a call. =)

I just saw that I was waitlisted as well, sadly.

I am sorry about my random questions, but how do you find that know you have been waitlisted? Also, when did you interview?

I have an interview at Dec 12, and my AADSAS is blank (it has been blank from the beginning).

Is this assumed to be a good sign?

that's weird it's been blank since the beginning?...i would give nova another week to go over ur interview/application before finding out ur status. they never pick up their phone, so call them 8am eastern time.
 
According to predents they accepted at least one person that inteviewed post dec 1st. Guess the rest of us will just have to wait till jan 15 when they know how many more acceptances they can give out.

Mine still says "invited for interview." I am hoping that this is good because this is most likely my last chance this cycle and next cycle.

Interviewed early December and AADSAS still reports

"Invited for interview"

I believe I suggested that I would shower in gasoline with a cigarette just to get an interview at Nova.

That was before I interviewed. When it comes to an acceptance, I would get a job as a logger, just to cut down the tree that will ultimately become the paper that a Nova acceptance letter is printed on.

I interviewed on Dec 3rd and was told during my interview that I would be notified by between Jan 1st-Jan15th. I recieved a phone call from Dean Lippman personally on Dec 18th after an adcomm meeting to let me know that I was accepted, and I recieved the letter two days later!

I interviewed in early December as well and was told by Dr. Lippman I would hear in "mid-January".

No contact as of yet but I am hoping for a similar phone call.

man i wish i interviewed with Dr. Lippman.. for my interview day, the doc was not in. which was a total bummer, esp cuz he/she is the admissions person..

Okay, I thought I did well in my interview, but I should start to worry about this...?

wow, congrats! are you going to take the offer? i was told i'd hear back between the 1st and 15th also, but alas, i haven't heard anything 🙁

When did you interview?!?!

I interviewed on Dec 12th and was told that I wouldn't hear anything till the 20th of Jan at the earliest. Is this incorrect??

i interviewed the 3rd, so it makes sense that you would hear back later than me. o wait...i haven't heard back 😡
 
I interviewed on the 21st of Nov and still haven't heard back yet, I was told on my interview that I would not hear until the 15th/16th (I don't remember which one).

Don't lose hope! All is not lost and maybe they are just saving the best for last!! I wouldn't say that you are out of the running yet. Best of luck to you!!👍

Who were you?? I was the fat guy with dark hair and I sat over against the wall on the left side of the room as you enter.

Oh, and good luck to you as well. I don't know about you, but I don't think I have ever wanted anything so bad in my life. I am trying not to get my hopes to high because if I do and I don't get in then I will feel about as terrible as anyone can feel.

gotcha! i was the slim asian guy with shor hair, and i sat on the right side of the room as you enter. Do you remember the Canadian guy who brought his sculpture or something like that? I sat right next to him. I wish you the best of luck, too!

Hey everyone,
I had my interview on Nov 14th and was told that the second round of acceptances would be going out today. I called a little while ago and they said that they're are not having the meeting for admissions until next week.

oooohhh!! thank god. i was told during my interview, that i would hear back no later than jan 15th, which is today. so i was really freaking out. thanks for the info 👍 that means another week of waiting though 👎

As bad as it may sound, another week of waiting is better than knowing today. At least I can hold out hope for one more week.:luck::luck:
 
did anyone find out what day next week they will be meeting? I was told that we should be hearing the 15th when I called in early december. I've been calling to find out when we can really expect to hear but no one has answered the phone the last few days. This is driving me nuts!
 
any idea when the committee mtg will be held??

Congrat!! Why my phone is not RINGING??!!!!!! BTW I got a phonecall from 000-000-0000 LOL around 2:30. I kinda doubt that was the one... lol I hope...
 
I got a phone call around 3 PM central.

I got accepted. See you there in August. No AADSAS update as of yet.

My AADSAS was not "waitlisted" it was "invited for interview"
