ok, this thread is for NOVA people who were wailisted or denied AFTER the interview( if that is even possible). Have you guys received the letter from NOVA informed about your wait list status? I got the letter that said I'm in "high hold". However, from the past threads, I have never seen any one with a "low hold" or denied. Anyone cares to discuss?

lol I received a "denied" letter yesterday. I don't really care though, since NOVA wasn't my priority, more like a backup

Had interview on November. AADSAS shows "wait listed"

But i received rejection letter from Nova today. very confused..

Does anyone have any clue about this?

u should call them and find out. My guess is probably on monday

Wait, so is there a high-hold waitlist and then a normal waitlist? Or is it only a high-hold waitlist that's basically what a normal waitlist would be?

Also, do they rank the waitlist or no?

care to explain?

I didn't get a good vibe from Nova, I didn't see any patients, only simulation dummies. I didn't like the fact that you have to learn about the the eyes in anatomy as well. I felt like people were having too much fun there and during the tour, i recall hearing more about palm trees, weather, and Miami being 30 min away than anything dental related. So I didn't have a good impression after but if it was the only school that had accepted me, I would have to go. Luckily I got into my top choice so I am happy that Nova rejected me.

Huh, oh well I actually liked the school. Parking and lunch can be hectic though.

I smell a vibe of emotional dismay.

I got "high hold" too, letter dated 12/4 and I interviewed in September. But I was also called and told my application was placed on hold pending fall grades, before I got this letter.

Agreed. I had the same feeling during the interview. I disliked how the clinicians there always pointed out how the were super successful and moved to Florida to retire and then got bored and went to go work at the school. The amount of chairs is also scary. If I remember correctly they have 80 chairs and over 100 students in each class. That would scare me! Everyone has different feelings about different programs. My top choices could be others back up schools. Good luck to everyone! I feel your education is what you make it out to be.

haha DDS Perez, I think from past thread, it's been clear that you love NOVA it's your number 1 choice, your comment is expected because it sounds like I just bashed your future school, but it's just my opinion dude, don't take it personal.

lol I might of been biased going into the interview, asked a very unfavorable question which I didn't think they would like but did it anyways. Asked about how they are going to relieve pressure in the clinic, not enough patients and chair problems, and the rumors regarding poor clinical skills, all of course are due to SDN..lol

Am sure you asked all that. 👍

lol..smh, ask anyone to search SDN and that's what you find, so I had to ask those questions in person to find out for myself, your sarcasm is appreciated though 👍

+1 I also wished they could tell us a bit more about the program during half an hour presentation instead of saying how amazing Florida is... Btw, I am accepted but will decline the offer. However, I like the people there though. Good luck everyone!

got a letter with "high hold" withdrew my name as I was accepted at another school

me too, interviewed in november and got a high hold letter. any one know if they fill their class?

Hey, I called the school yesterday and the lady in admissions could not have been nicer. She said that the waitlist is ~200 right now, and that there is in fact no ranking system (high hold, low hold, etc doesn't apply). As expected, there won't be any movement until first deposits are due
