Hey guys,

Honored to say that I've been accepted into Dental School and will start this upcoming Summer. My question is, now that we're in, is there anything we can do in the meantime to best prepare for the experience? I am currently in a lab and have an ample amount of free time in it. I usually have about an hour of experiments then three hours of waiting then another hour then more waiting point being that I'd like to make use of those chunks of waiting. Any online courses/prep materials you guys recommend going through?

Also, with regard to hand skills. Anything I can do now to help prime me for carving/waxing/etc.? I know how I sound with these questions but I really need to make Dental School count, I had to make up for a terrible academic performance in undergrad and do not want to be in that position ever again. Thanks in advance!!

Learn to cook a few good meals
Do Cardio
Travel have a little fun
Hand skills? Chill
Set up google calendar reminders and learn to use it
Apply for a millitary or NHSC scholarship
You will study and work like crazy in school, these are important foundations that you can improve now.

I second this. Just finishing my first semester and I don't think there was any preparation I could have done prior that would have helped. You'll figure out whats required of certain classes when you get here. Any preparation you do for class will probably show minimal return on your time. The biggest advantage I have over some of my classmates is that I took a gap year, went on a big trip and had plenty of time not stressing or worrying so now I don't even feel burnt out at all even though some of my class is ready to collapse. Unless you totally suck at hand skills you should have adequate time to develop these in school.

have a good time and invest in bitcoin/altcoins when you can.

solid advice.
dont waste time reading ahead or trying to do wax ups. you will have plenty of time for that (with guidance) in dental school

Bitcoin hitting 12k now. IOTA went up +300% in the last few days from microsoft partnership. DASH and Monero have been climbing since November. Vertcoin is mooning at the moment

Wish I got in sooner but theres money to be had.

My brothers got into IOTA and Monero quite early. I tried to get some IOTA but my bank's online system is down for the time being.

I would just try and spend time with friends and family. Your time with them will be extremely limited once school starts. There's really nothing you can do to prepare.
