21) Becoming Comfortable with Saying "I'm Not Comfortable"

10 credits. To be taken concurrently with 1 credit of "Pathophysiology" and 0.5 credits of "Pharmacology" as this "intensive seminar style" course will demand much effort.

Pre-requesites:
a) how to bold face lie to a physician 540
b) how to clear your conscience of making the patient receive a higher bill for compassionate caregivers 207
c) advanced "laboratory" in projecting competence

Course Description:

During the online 6 week practicum, candidates will be immersed in myriad experiences designed to carefully craft the student's abilities in "buck passing" and "liability shifting" and to develop strategies to avoid life long learning.

After a 5 minute role playing course during which physicians model "problematic" behavior for candidates, the first week will insist entirely of high fidelity virtual simulation. Skills cultivated will include:

-Accurate overestimation of laceration depth
-Reliable hyperbolizing of blood loss
-Expressing Malcontent of your family medicine clinic day job's PTO policy

The second week will include shadowing experiences with fellow NPs who graduated 5 days ago in Urgent Care settings where you will learn such deflection techniques as

"I'm really worried, are you not worried"?
"We close in an hour, I can't see this patient."
"The EKG is abnormal, there are too many squiggles."

Following the conclusion of this, students will utilize the the remaining 4 weeks to devote to a group project to promote their newly discovered identity by producing an Instagram advert focussing on either Danskos shoes or Figs scrubs.

Grading:

1) Attendance - 100%. However, candidates may choose to log on remotely and then peruse Zappos or view re runs of "the office" (US series only. No credit will be rewarded for the UK series)

2) Examinations - Wut?

***Extra credit may be rewarded for the student who brings the most "keto" lunch each day.

Ahem.
People like white magic, because science is hard.

Seriously. Think about how many people that you went to highschool with, who either side-stepped chemistry, or went for that "easier teacher".

That is your average muggle.

Yet these people can get a unrestricted 'medical' license in Alaska while a US MD who completed 1-yr residency can't even practice there...

22.) How to lavishly report your procedures and knowledge as a previous ________ ICU nurse
Bonus credit for using the lingo "float pacers," "throw in lines," "tube em"

23.) real story: lets refer to sports medicine because after several attempts at carpal tunnel injection from different sights and angles hand dose not work right. Do you think it is a tendon lac? or maybe infection?

This is a pretty trash thread to be doing right now. Nurses are on this front lines of this all across the world just like docs. How about you all show some class?

Respect is earned, not given.
Takes just a biiiit more than some online busywork an a palmful of "clinical hours" to earn it.

I just can't believe this. Do you have the website google is not helping. It really reads like the onion: Local man able to help even the most experienced doctors in regards to new outbreak after taking class. Local man with big smile on his face "I suggested eye of newt".

Want to know why you guys keep losing to NP’s? Tone deaf threads like what you see here. I’m glad the 20 most vocal of you don’t represent the team I work with every day. Enjoy losing to the NP
Lobby, no doubt you’ll continue to.

Did I break TOS, or do you just not like what I said? Maybe you’re right, another nurse attack thread is exactly what we need right now.

Coming into a forum to bash that specialty is a TOS violation (I don't know which part it breaks, but it's like abortion was the right to privacy - there is some interpretation).

Class you say?
Sure doesn’t seem classy to use a pandemic as a political instrument to advance your careers while millions of lives are at risk and people are dead left, right, center!!

Jeez the audacity!! Why am I even surprised !!

Thanks for the confirmation on your character.

MY character?!

Anyone on here will tell you of my character, based on my 10+ years of experience being a physician, and 7+ as an attending in EM.
Go ahead, ask 'em.

Time builds character. Experience builds character. Insight builds character.

Seems you're sorely lacking in all three.

But... you just keep sending out those referrals, Jenny.

We don't have to engage in massive political lobbying to reassure ourselves as to the quality of our education. The militancy of the NP lobby stands from a massive insecurity/ persecution complex stemming from your lack of sufficient training. Just enough training for you guys to be dangerous to patients from overconfidence and total ignorance to your educational gaps.

I'm not bashing any specialty, I'm observing this is a pretty tone deaf time to make a post like this.

I didn't make a single comment about the rigor of my education. I'm aware there's much room for improvement in the education of my profession. Do you really think that sowing dissention among healthcare providers is the best thing to be doing right now in the face of pandemic? If you find no fault in this, reexamine that thought process.
Seems like this would be a great time to use that new "ban poster from thread" feature
I've broken no TOS. Sorry if you are offended by anything I have said. I won't back down that this post is a tone deaf post at an awful time.
