how do they not contact rejected applicants? that sounds kinda weird lol
I have an interview tomorrow, what do I need to know? I wasn't home to get the packet of info. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!
i interviewed the 21st and havent heard anythin yet...they said theyd call by monday (today) does this mean i didnt get in??

Welcome to the club...running consensus is that they said they would "TRY" to call be today. Only one person on SDN so far has admitted to getting a call and that was Friday afternoon. No call for me today...which means I'll probably be checking the mail box neurotically for the rest of the week or until I get something!
Nate.
Hi Jim, ill be joining ya, i just rode out to the school today to know where to go for sure so i wouldnt be late.
I second Jim's question, novas website is awfully vague about the cirriculum and things that we shuold generally know about the school before the interview such to answer a question like "Why did you apply to nova" etc.
is there any information SDNers can pass along to us for tomorrow?
I interviewed the same day as you (colorado!) and still haven't heard either. But don't go by me, my interview pretty much sucked so I don't exactly expect an acceptance.

I drove out to the campus but am unsure of where we need to go tomorrow. If anyone can help as far as where to park and where the admissions office is I would greatly appreciate it!
is the Terry building where we need to go?? I never got the packet
i have my interview next tuesday 10/9/07. And I have yet to recieve a packet or anything. Has anyone that is supposed to interview next week recieved anything, and if so what did it say?
thanks
I would have liked to have heard the Dean speak but such is life.

ya the admissions office seemed disorganized, plus they didn't even know the dean wasn't in town. I expected much more, very beautiful campus and facilities though!! I never received the packet either and didn't find it as a disadvantage during the interview. Atleast in my interview, they seemed like they had already made a decision on my file (not sure if its favorable) before they even met me. It was very short and they didn't ask much. I would have liked to have heard the Dean speak but such is life. Good luck everyone!
You do have an exam every week, but you won't have 5 exams in one week.
i share similar sentiment, but i was more impressed with the campus than i was displeased with the lack of organization. your interview seemed to be an exception, some of the others were longer. Also, my main concern right now is the cirriculum. The NSU students seemed signifiucantly more stressed than the KCUMB students i interacted with. and the exam every single monday thing scares me a lot. it seems like u wont have a chance to breath. I plan on trying to talk to as many nova and kcumb students as i can between now and dec but im not gonna make my decision anytime soon assuming im accepted to nova (which i am hoping)
GaryPharm, I would say never blow off an interview, its always best to check out all of your options. You have to make sure its the right place for you and the right decision, because it is a very important one. If NSU is the best place for you even after those interviews you'll still know its what you want. The deposits are pretty expensive, so if you are 100% sure go with it, if not I am pretty sure you get 30 days from your acceptance to sign the letter.
Good luck.
Well, the 2 main schools that I'm thinking I might want to cancel are LECOM-PA and KCOM. It's not the curriculum or anything, and I've never even seen either campus so I'm not too sure what the living environment there is like. The only thing I'm going by is that I'm afraid the locations might be a little too rural for me (I grew up in the suburban southern california area). Nova was a little different from what I'm use to, but gave me a pretty good impression minus the extremely humid weather. I would like to check out every school that I received interviews for, but unfortunately the costs of traveling is a little more than I can afford.
I was just hoping maybe someone here has interviewed at either of these 2 schools (LECOM-PA and KCOM), as well as Nova, and can give me a fair non-biased assessment on their impressions and how these schools compare.
Are you waiting this week as well? I interviewed on the 21.
Hey Jim,
As someone who's also interviewed at both Bradenton and Nova, which would you prefer if accepted to both?
