I've had nurses save my ass in more than one occasion. In residency, our ED nurses were really ****ing awesome. They were smart, worked hard and always willing to learn. I once had an incorrect medication order that I accidentally clicked for a critically ill patient and the nurse came up to me to ask if I was sure I wanted that. Would have been a terrible outcome if they just read the note and gave the medication.

Context... you're missing it with that post. I'm also one of the most approachable residents at my program and I'm always willing to discuss the whats and whys for my orders.

Sorry, that wasn't directed at you per se, but those that actually think and act like that. I just quoted you since you had it nicely written out.
