Need help deciding between a traditional 4+4 route vs. a 7 year B.S./D.O. at NYITCOM. I can list any further information if needed. Thanks.

You need to do 120 credits in the 7 year program over 3 years. Unless you have ap credits that sucks. I recommend the 8 year program.

4 + 4 unless you want to rush things. I was part of a 7 yr program. not really worth it cramming several science courses in one semester.

The way that NYIT picks what courses the BS/DOs take each semester allows the student to still be successful in school. Yes, this program doesn't take AP credits, but the AP classes will be COMPLETELY useful during the first year of the program, where most of the courses are just a continuation of high school knowledge. Here is the link to the NYIT BS/DO semester map: http://www.nyit.edu/files/advising/..._LifeSciencesOsteopathicMedicineBSDO_2015.pdf
As long as you work hard, maintaining the GPA requirement will be no problem at NYIT. I cant say the same for the state schools also affiliated with NYIT-COM because state schools tend to be harder academically than NYIT.
