Does anyone else think its weird that we havent gotten any info on start dates, our schedule, what instruments to get, etc?

NYMC was just purchased by Touro University. There is a good chance that the entering class of 2013 will not be called NYMC but something along the lines of NYMC at Touro University, or Touro University School of Medicine, etc.

I recommend using this knowledge when deciding whether or not you'd like to attend the school.

In addition, the diplomas may not read NYMC for the entering class of 2013.

That is NOT correct. Class of 2013 has been promised that there will be no change on the diploma. This has been said to us (and reported on SDN) over and over again. Where are these rumors coming from?

Regarding future classes, there have been assurances over and over and the name of the school will not be changing. They might add Touro at some point, but NYMC is being kept a separate institution. That NYMC is being kept a separate corporate entity from Touro is a FACT.

Again, where is this BS coming from?
