I wrote one but 2+ months after my interview. Maybe i should have wrote it earlier. Going to ask my PI to send them a letter with updates
 
I withdrew my acceptance today because I will be attending Albany. Good luck to those of you still waiting to hear.
 
Did anyone else get an acceptance e-mail this morning?
 
I just got the acceptance letter, sent at 2:17pm et!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone who's still waiting! 😀 😀 😀

btw, I interviewed on April 12th.

Those of you who have received letters either waitlist or rejection what state are you in, and what is the date they sent them?

Who's Dr. Sullivan\? It says the associate dean of admissions is Dean Fern Juster.

bump... I'd also like to know the state/location of people getting rejections or waitlists from NYMC.

She's the one who gave the talk first thing in the morning. I think she's the Assistant Dean of Admissions. I interviewed with her, so I wrote to her. Good luck!
 
JennyB so you received your acceptance via mail??? You didn't get any notification whatsoever by phone or even email???? Why wouldn't they email something that significant...damn : / *runs to mailbox*
 
does anyone know if there will be more emails coming out this week?

I received the acceptance via e-mail. it said they were going to send the real letter in the mail that day.
 
can some1 give me an email address for dr. sullivan please. i cant seem to find it on the website ?

Got a post interview rejection yesterday 🙁.
I am actually really surprised, I thought the interview went well, better than some other interviews I had, and this is the only rejection out of 6 interviews I had. The school takes over 50% of interviewed people, so I really wonder what I did so bad to get rejected, also considering the fact I wrote a thank you letter and a letter of interest/update to them. Can it be somehow related to the fact that when they got to my application they saw I was accepted elsewhere? At least they could have waitlisted me out of politeness! Well, I probably wouldn't end up there even if accepted since I got an acceptance from a school I prefer more, but I really liked the environment at NYMC...
Any insights why this happened?

is there any1 who has not gotten a decision from NYMC? NYMC says they mailed a decision to my permanent add, which is in Jamaica. and mail takes like 3 weeks to get here from the US. and they refuse to send it via email or fax? i had them resend it to my college address in the US. but there is no one there to check my mail for me and i don't go back to the US for another 10 days. what do i do? i really want to know my decision. i know since they didnt email its not an acceptance. i just want to know whether ive been rejected (then i can start the reapplication process) or whether ive been waitlisted (so i can write a letter of interst).. this extra waiting is killing me.
 
May be you can talk them into sending a fax if you explain the situation. Good luck! Hope it's a waitlist, since I got a rejection this should have opened a spot for waitlist!!!🙂
 
thanks!! i really hope its a waitlist too. atleast that way theres some hope. otherwise im going to have to reapply. i spoke to two different people and they said they won't fax it but they can resend it to my US address and I don't get back to the US for another 10 days..
 
Why don't you tell them to send it to my address, I am in Brooklyn so probably will get it sooner than in 10 days.
 
thanks.. but they already sent it to my college address. i dont think they will mail the same letter 3 times. i was trying to convince them to fax or email and they refused and said theyll send the letter to my college address.
 
has anyone received a rejection letter from outside of NY state?
 
I live in CA and I still haven't heard a peep from them and I'm getting pretty worried about it. Has anyone got an acceptance this week?

I feel your pain. Have you called NYMC and check on your status?
 
i got waitlisted this week (interviewed 3.22). who should i address my letter of intent/update to? Should it be the person I interviewed or a specific person in the adcom? any advice is appreciated.

I just called the admissions office today and they said that I would be hearing from them within a week or so. I interviewed on March 28th and have not heard a word from them and I live in CA. Has anyone outside of NY heard from NYMC?

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that I got my acceptance email from my march 28th interview yesterday!!! Sorry I didn't post sooner but I was the happiest man alive yesterday and took the entire day to celebrate and call friends and family (and get drunk, 😉. NYMC is my first choice. I am so happy I don't have to leave the country anymore to go to Sackler in Tel Aviv Isreal to be a MD anymore. I get to stay here!!!! I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!😀😀

Did you get waitlisted first, then taken off the waitlist, or were you accepted outright without being waitlisted?

It was outright... so it's no reflection on the waitlist.

It was 4/17... which is more 'mid-May', in retrospect. 😳 (Sorry if claims of 'late May' misled anyone.)
