Hello friends, i got an acceptance letter from nyu today(letter dated march 23rd).My inteview was on 21st march.I am a new applicant and my stats r
NBDE 1-85,ECE-3.2,TOEFL-28 .Applied in first week of jan 2006.
MPH
Work experience as a dentist-nill
Other kinda work experience :research assistant at a univ for 1.5 yrs.
I really wana heartly thank all my friends and well wishers at sdn to help me achieve this.Good luck to those who r still waiting for interview and admissions.
Guys just think abt this,dont look what others have achieved around you.Just see what u have ,what's good for you and how u can fulfill your dreams...... everyday is a new day and every moment brings new oppertunities,so giv ur best.

interviewd by one person ;interview went off very smoothly ;i answered with honesty ,full confidence and with passion and that is all abt what u can present abt urself on that day

Sorry I haven't been around lately to congratulate or help lately!! i'm still in pakistan till the 21st doing the post shaadi (wedding) dinners and stupid stuff like that..it's really getting to me!!

Anyways, please accept my sincere congrats to everyone who got admitted recently that I haven't been able to congratulate yet!!

It's great to have all of you as my future classmates and I hope to see you all in the fall or sooner!!

by the way if your looking for housing...check out newyork.craigslist.org
and perferably search for "no fee" rentals....finding housing in nyc is quite a task as the vacancy rates are less than 2 percent.

And nothing stays on the market for more than a couple days..so u literally have to move to manhattan or wherever and start looking when you get here because if you look any sooner, your apartment will be gone by the time you get here!

Just a little advice from my side...and oh yeah get ready to pay out the nose!!!

let them know ur interest in the school. e-mail or call eugenia and tell her the problem. they know that people make mistakes but what they look for is that whether u realized from that msitakes and working any harder or not. well regarding GPA i said frankly that i failed once and they asked me why. i said i had attendance problem due to an accident and that was the reason for my failure. but later when i passed , i came out with good grades and i showed that in the transcripts. and my masters degree here aslo helped me as my GPA here is 3.5 and thats what they look for. whether the person is trying hard to improve or still comitting the same mistakes. well about you, you should be knowing the reasons why GPA is less and try to communicate the message effectively. hope u get the interview call and gud luk 🙂

Actually I was interviewed on the 4th of April and my acceptance letter was sent on the 10th, but due to a postal delay I received my letter only yesterday. The delay did cause many sleepless nights.
