Long story short I fulfilled my 6 credit English requirement in high school with IB/AP credits. However NYU states that I still must take at least 1 English course at the university level in order to fulfill that portion of the pre-reqs...

Well it seems like most of the English courses are already filled up by incoming freshman, and those that are not overlap with classes that I'm scheduled for in the spring so that is also a no go.

Any previous NYU dental students have any experience with this? Or can any current applicants comment on the situation?

I went there today and they told me as long as the course has many writing in it, it's a valid substitution. The course does not have to be English...Lab courses with loads of lab reports also count.
