Thanks. I never knew the graduated that many dentists. If more schools are doing this, we're going to have some rough times.
 
true it is 360. I was accepted there and they told me the class would be: 260 + 100 foreign trained dentists.
 
they are going to make soo much money of the foreign program

No, you won't have rough time. Some of us just want to be a dentist and help out the uninsured and poor citizen of the world.

We would be in horrendous shape if every school pumped out 400 dentists per year with 400k in debt.
 
Don't know why people are being so worked up over this.

They are still graduating the same amount of dentists per year after the change, as compared to before the change. The only difference is that the foreign students will have to go through an extra year of training.

If you're scared of going into debt, then dentistry is the wrong field for you.

I will take a cold glass of milk. Maybe I am navie, I don't worry about half a million in debt. They can come and collect my dental diploma assuming I got a dental degree down the road.

Or I can pay the bank in third world country's currency for my loan. 😍

Life is short! The most we will live is another 70 years. I am sure I can pay off the .5 mill in the next 70 years. As much as you wish to take ¥ into the next life, I want to continue to pay my debts from my next life.
Now, the bank see this and I won't be able to take out loan.

The point is chill out... We have a shortage of dentist in the world. Someone got to nurse the poor. I will do it.

You've got to be kidding me. There are definitely major reasons why pumping out hundreds and hundreds of dentists with half mil loans is a bad idea - not just for dentists, but also for patients too. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.

I never realized it was that many, I thought it was low 200s.

There is debt, which is managable...Then there is NYU debt.

How are you going to pay for the hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment, facilities, leaseholds and materials needed to treat the poor?
