Hello.... i too have an interview with NYU ,just needed a li'l help with the interview preparation..this being my very first interview i am really anxious and have no clue how to go about it..ne help would be appreciated...what questions are asked ...is it regarding the personal statement ,resume ?what documents do i need to carry along for the interview? please reply at the earliest because the D-day is just round the corner🙂Thanx...!!

Hi has anyone received interview invitations from nyu recently.I believe they r having their second set of interviews tomorrow.,but is anyone scheduled for interviews after that,just anxious-----and waiting----and going crazy--.

I am also waiting but then for those who sent the Applications in the month of December.....please post any news from NYU....also sending in December for Nyu....is it like considered a late application ....?

I mean for 23rd.
I recieved a call frm NYU and i scheduled the interview for 23rd.
My application was complete by dec1st. So they hav started calling the candidates who applied in dec.
My part1 score is 89 and gpa 3.3.
If any female is intersted in sharing the accomodation plz pm me.

Congrats, you were getting worried simply i thought you just took your exam on 30th.Did you apply earlier?

hi, i applied in nov. my stats are 93/2.6/107, do i have any chance, i know i have a low GPA.

I am scheduled for an interview at NYU on 25th. I was going thru the interview feed back in SDN, and i got really worried to read that many said that the school has high attrition rate and drop out rate:scared: 😱 . that many interviewers were real tough and bad etc etc... is this true? people who r in NYU now, and those who already had their interview, plz....
Also, do u know how many has been interviewed so far? how many in a day?

Its true that they have a high attrition rate and filter the advanced placement guys very diligently n carefully,as what few of my friends had to say about this was,and that the process of pulling one out or changing from the program is not a one step instead they give u multiple chances,see ur previous records and if any signs of improvement are there they consider u,,,,so its remotely possible if u r hard working n interested in learning more and have a sound foundation(from ur previous knowledge n skills...though u dont have to display it too much...😉 )u l be very very fine....👍
This is my info from few guys at NYU and friends at other schools interracting with their buddies at NYU and comparing each others programs...😀
So all u can do is go ahead n bother about this once u hit the seat....:luck:
 
Congrats and all the best for your interviews.I applied in the last week of Nov and my application was complete in Dec.I received a call from Mr. Kevin yesterday calling me for an interview on Jan 23rd.But i can't make it on that date and i have chosen another one.So i think people who are waiting for interview calls should keep a check on their phones.I hope this helps.

Does any one have any idea how many seats are filled in NYU so far? I also have an interview call n i also scheduled it on 25th of January.. But i m little bit worried now..With my score of 87, i dont know wr i stand.. I saw most of the interviewees hv atleast 90%.. Does any one get an admission with this score? My GPA is 3.18..Need a real help..😕 😕

Hi CDC, congrats , when i called keven lee he said that my application is completed on jan3rd but i havent got any confirmation email (or mail). is it too late for me to get an interview? i got 96 in part 1 ,my toefl score is 230 & my GPA is 2.89 (that is the worrying factor ) since i failed in my final yr (in ortho and prostho ,but i got A grade on next attempt) will they consider my failure ? what about my chances?

Hello All , I am a fresh Dental graduate and applied to NYUCD in last week of december and my application was completed yesterday , jan 18, 2007. Is it too late to be considered for this fall Academic session ? My NBDE Part 1 score is 85 , ECE Dental school GPA is 3.72 , TOEFL-iBT is 91. I am about to complete my MPH here in USA and Master level GPA is 3.54. I am also working as a research assistant here in USA and as an Acedemic Tutor for Anatomy, Biochemistry and Microbiology. Do I have a chance to get a call from NYU ? I know I have low TOEFL score, and NBDE score is also Border line. Any suggestions....???? Any possiblety this time to get in to this Dental School ......???? I appriciate your replies and suggestions. Thanks all and Good luck to everyone who applied this time .

Hello, Does anybody know the importance of TOEFL score at NYUCD ? I am really worried as I am having 91 in TOEFL iBT. My other stats I mentioed earlier. Looking at those stats ( NBDE1:85 and GPA: 3.72, MPH GPA: 3.54 and other relavent experience in USA in Public Health and in tutoring) can any one tell me , What are my chances to get a call from NYU ? Hi Siddharth, I think I know you. From which batch you are ? And Which Universirty in India ( For BDS ) ? Do you have any Idea How much is the weightage for TOEFL iBT score ? I am a D2 student at NYUCD. I know many of you are having doubts regarding the admission. I am providing information to clear some of your doubts.

GPA: It matters to some extent. It is not true that NYU won’t accept students with GPA less than 3.0. I am the best example. I had a GPA of 2.7 in my BDS and I still made into the program.

NBDE score: Last year, the average NBDE part 1 score of the advanced placement program students was 87. It is the average score and there are many students who got into the program with less than 87.

Masters program: If you are doing any Master’s program like MPH or MHA, don’t forget to include those transcripts with your application. It really helps if your GPA is less than 3.0.

TOEFL-87 (just got my result yesterday)
i hv already sent the applicatin to NYU..but my toefl score wont b there till the last week of JAN..n i think they require 88 ibt..so plz let me kw..😕 is there any chance this year??i m really worried!!

Did anyone get acceptance at NYU? coz no body posted the results of interview !! So does it mean that NYU hasn`t started sending out replies?😕
 
Naah they havent.They Will inform within the next three weeks of ur interview date.ppl will start hearing from them in a weeks times i guess.
 
For all those waiting patiently , i guess they have started sending out the letters..I got my acceptance throuh regular mail today..

"IN ADDITION , OUR OFFICE MUST RECEIVE YOUR NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $2500 NO LATER THAN 2/5/2007

ANYWAys Dr .Hittleman was pretty cool just the usual question wats ur work exp, will ur hubby relocate , its a diff course will u be able to do it.....
