So I have read over parts of the HPSP handbook and I cannot find any answers to my questions so I thought I would try my luck here. I have also heard the OBC may already be full.

I have asked my recruiters to put in my paperwork to go to OBC this summer (between 1st and 2nd year). However, they have yet to respond to me. If I am not about to go this summer I have to go after I graduate.

So questions...

1. If I do not go this summer will I still get paid?

2. If I do not go to OBC this summer could I go to jump school (to fill the time and have some fun jumping out of planes)?

3. Who do I contact to try and get my paperwork in for OBC if my recruiters wont?

1. Yes you will get paid. You would have to submit a request for school orders and you'll get paid the last month and a half of the fiscal year, ending Oct.1.

2. nope.

3. You need to get on MODS. You have to request OBLC. If you are medical HPSP, not vet/nursing etc, then you'll get a spot. They don't send orders until april may time, so you just kind of hang out and wait. On MODS, go to "Requests" and click on "ADT." That should give you your info.

Your recruiter has done his part and you are in, so I wouldn't expect a ton of help from that direction. You can call 1-877-med-army or some thing like that, to talk to your AMEDD handler. Check the discussion board on MODS. Most of the information you're looking for is there already.
