I taken the pcat in jan and so I have a hint as to what is normally on there plus I bugged the crap out of my friends that took it during june. But How much would you guys say is on the PCAT that is STRICTLY OCHEM 2 material, as in NMR and onwards such as aromatic(i know that is on there for a fact), alder reaction(no idea what it is lol except its in ochem 2 content), naming of functional groups(quite sure it was on there), and i'm posititve Huckel's rule is on there for a fact. I just want some feedbacks on this.

Another question, what kind of reactions should be memorizing? I pretty gone over all ochem1 stuff, and reviewing my ochem 1 reactions everyday, hydration, halohalenation, oxymerucation, hydroboration, cleavages KMNo4 and O3/Zn, Alkynation, Halogenation from an alcohol, and more obviously. Did anyone see any of these types of reactions?

In Terms of NMR, the question can be tested conceptually. PCAT can present the problem and show you a graph and test if you can interpret information from the graph. I can't imagine PCAT going further and having us interpret the graph and predict the structure of a compound.

In regards to the alder reaction you mentioned, the reaction is call Diels-Alder reaction. Diels-Alder reaction is an example of cycloaddition reaction, an organic reaction between a conjugated diene and a substituted alkene called dienophile. The reaction forms a cyclohexene

Organic2 highlights the following 3 reactions: Cycloaddition, Electrocyclization, and sigmatropic rearrangement.

Go over those 3 reactions and you should be good for most of the organic2 material.

of the organic in the entire chemistry section i felt that at most a little more than half of it was ochem 2 material. at least in my test..

i have however heard of people after august and october 2007 pcat tests celebrating the lack of any ochem questions.
i would count on that though.
