OChem

Depends on the school, professor, history of the class with said professor/school, etc.

Essentially, nothing is normal. My class had 25% As (and 45% Ws). Some friends of mine had O chem with less than 10 % As.

45% Ws :meanie:

Is 10% A's about right for an OChem class?

Depends on the school and professor. My school had two professor with large differences in the average grades. I know my professor gave out 3 A's for 2nd semester Ochem (out of 35-40 students). Not sure about the first semester averages though

Depends on prof.
One prof in my class had about 30% A's.
The other curved from 80%-100% was an A and only 10% were part of that A.

this is exactly the reason I go to a school that doesn't curve: no pressure. I just do the best I can and my grades aren't dependent on how well (or poor) the next person does. 😎

My Ochem class didn't really have those curves based on the grades of the class. However, an A for the class is an 80%. As for the number of people who got an A, I don't really know, but I am lucky that I was one of them 😀
