I've been seeing posts about October 15th being the earliest schools can offer acceptance allowed by the AAMC.

At my interview, the executive director of admissions said the date got moved to November 15th this year.

Could anyone clarify if it's October 15th (and maybe the school is just accepting later) or if it's November 15th?

That school may have moved their earliest date to Nov 15th.... Are you sure that is not what they meant?

The first date ANY school can make non-EDP offers is 10/15. However, some schools have later dates when they start rolling out admissions offers. I'm guessing that person was referring to their specific school.

I know Wayne State doesn't start until 10/26 and Pitt is 11/15.

It's October 15th, though in practice it's more likely the 17th as that is the following business day.

Each school notify all applicants - other than Combined College/M.D., Early Decision Program (EDP), and deferred matriculation applicants - of acceptance to medical school only after October 15 of each admission cycle. It may be appropriate to communicate notifications of decisions other than acceptance to medical school to applicants prior to October 15.

The admissions director either experienced a slip-of-the-tongue or pointed out a date specific to his school.

you can actually check on the msar

for example, st. louis does it october 15th at the earliest, albert einstein tells you on january 15th and duke does it march 1st. so it can vary widely from school to school.

AMCAS trafficking rules say October 15th...

Did you interview at Pitt? They told us a later date but in a sentence something like this: "AMCAS let's us start telling applicants our decision October 15th, however, we move it back to the middle of November because we like to see more applicants before we start deciding."

So yeah, depends on the school

October 15th. The majority of schools don't offer that early. The only that comes to mind for me is UMich. You could check mdapplicants.
