I withdrew from CCOM (and KCOM) a few days ago, but I guess the letter was already in the mail. Even though I was accepted at my first choice (VCOM), it's still a bummer to be rejected.

haha, I have no idea what happened there. I dont feel like the interview was that bad. I definitely didnt nail it, but I didnt totally screw it up either. I kind of feel like the interview was moot, and they were gonna reject me no matter what. Lol, not even a waitlist. And the fact that they sent it in a big envelope is just mean. I took the mail out of the mailbox and saw the big envelope and got a little excited. When I started opening it though, I noticed that there was only one piece of paper inside, and then I thought I was waitlisted. Lo and behold, they hate me, haha. No hard feelings though.

Thats what my mom said, lol. I dont think they are allowed to share that info with each other, but who knows. Stranger things have happened.
 
To those of you up here from NSU did you still get a phone call or did they just go by snail mail? I know the adcom met today and so hopefully I'll be hearing something next week.

Why wouldn't they share it though? I think it makes sense.

If I get rejected from any DO schools, I promise i'll find this thread and post. No rejections yet -- just nothing from the ones i haven't interviewed @.

Let's hope I'm not adding PCOM to this list in 10 days...

Maybe we didn't receive rejections to parade around all of SDN.
 
I dont quite think that I am "parading" my rejections. Rejections are all part of the process, even people that get into several med schools get them. I just dont think its that big of a deal to post your rejections. Thats what this board is for. I am happy that you have not received any, how wonderful for you. I was upset everytime I opened a rejection, but its not going to change my attitude or make me bitter about reapplying. Obviously it has made some of you somewhat testy. Lighten up. Anyways I was joking about posting rejections for others. Geez, this time of year has made people rude and it seems that no one can take a joke anymore.

Yes, it is sad that rejections occur. Everyone ought to be accepted, but there's too much competition. Personally, I think it's personal if someone wishes to post or not. You made the decision to post your rejections. Fine. However, when you're basically begging for others to do so, that's kind of asking for it. Not everyone has to do so. I know there are plenty that parade their acceptances and don't show off a single rejection if they did get one. I'm not like that. I don't like talking about acceptances or rejections. It's improper in my opinion and is personal. It's like when people don't talk about each other's MCAT scores (however, in SDN it appears ppl talk about it all the time). Just my 2 cents on my reasoning, not to sound like a jerk this time around. 😉

You must be one of those people that is scared to talk about money too. Why are you on here if you dont want to know about other peoples med school highs and lows? Whats the point of even reading these boards then? So you enjoy reading other peoples stuff but you feel that contributing is something you would never do. Well, I personally enjoy reading others stats and it actually gives me hope. These are public boards, the whole point is to talk about your personal med school story.
